The Roads section provides and maintains public roads, footpaths and public lighting, implements traffic management and promotes road safety.
Our aim is to secure safety and efficiency in the transport of people and goods by road, thus facilitating increased economic development, having regard to environmental values and maximisation of safety for all users of mechanically propelled vehicles as well as pedestrians.
Some of our current projects include the N25 Bypass, Outer Ring Road and the Carrickphierish Road.
The following roads in Waterford City have been funded by the Irish Government under the National Development plan 2000 – 2006 and part financed by the European Union:
Airport Road phase 1 & 2
Carrickphierish Road.
Dunmore Road.
Tramore Road.
Outer Ring Road.
