Partnership Agreement – Local Authorities

It was agreed between the three local authorities, Waterford City Council, Waterford County Council and Kilkenny County Council, that Waterford City Council would be the lead authority for the purposes of advancing the project to “tender stage”. Consequently, each local authority completed an agreement which permitted Waterford City Council to act on behalf of the other authorities for the purpose of site investigations, preparation of environmental impact studies, compulsory acquisition of lands, bridge order applications, foreshore licence/lease applications and advance works contracts.
