The Grannagh Interchange area comprises of a grade separated roundabout which connects the new By Pass to the future N9/M9 to Dublin/Kilkenny via the Quarry Link road and roundabout and to Waterford via the Newrath Link 1 and 2 dual carriageways which extend from the end of existing dual carriageway at Sallypark. The Grannagh roundabout itself contains two 3 span integral bridges (Structures 18 and 19) which span a total distance of 54m. Traffic from the new Suir Bridge joins the roundabout to the west and traffic from the east form the existing N25 connects to the roundabout via viaducts overt the existing rail line, Blackwater river and existing N9 (Structure No’s 20 and 22). Dublin, Kilkenny and Limerick bound traffic from Waterford will approach the roundabout from the Newrath Link section 2 road again via three new bridges over the railway (Structure 44), Blackwater River (Structure 43) and existing N9 (Structure 42).
