Structure No. 40 - Blackwater River Bridge

This structure is a 112m long 4 span bridge which carries the new N9 dual carriageway over the River Blackwater. The sub-structure consists of 2 no. abutments and 3 no. piers which all sit on bored piled foundations. The superstructure consists of 34 no. precast concrete U-beams and a 250mm deep reinforced concrete deck slab.
