“Stock from The Store”
Julian Barnes is the “Stock from The Store” author for January. In 2011 he won the Man Booker Prize, for his book The Sense of an Ending. Three of his earlier books have also been shortlisted for the Man Booker Prize: Flaubert's Parrot (1984), England, England (1998), and Arthur & George (2005). Pick up any of these titles from the “Stock from The Store” Display in Ardkeen Library during January.



Book Clubs


Children’s Book Club at Ardkeen Library meets on the third Thursday of each month from 3:30pm – 4:30pm.

Friday Morning Book Club meets on the first Friday of every month from 11:00am. All are welcome.

Wednesday Morning Book Club meets on the first Wednesday of every month at 11:00am. All are welcome.

Whodunit? Club
The Whodunit Club, for crime fiction readers, meets on the first Tuesday of every month at 7:00pm.

Wednesdays & Fridays 10:30am – 12:00noon
The Ardkeen Library Parent and Toddler Group meet every Wednesday and Friday morning from 10.30am to 12 noon. All are welcome.


Hobbies and Crafts
Needles and Threads needlework group meets on the first and third Wednesday of every month at 11.00am.



Scrabble
is played every Tuesday afternoon from 2.30pm at Ardkeen Library. All are welcome from novices to veterans.

Waterford Inner City Parent & Toddler Group

Tuesdays 10:30am – 12:00 noon, Central Library
The Waterford Inner City Parent and Toddler Group run by St. Brigid’s Family & Community Centre in partnership with Waterford City Council Central Library takes place every Tuesday in the Children’s Corner of Central Library, Lady Lane from 10:30am to 12:00 noon. There will be some fun activities, storytelling and entertainment for the toddlers, and for the parents. All are very welcome!!
