If you’re a teenager then Young Adult Services at Waterford City Council Library Service has got you covered. We have separate Young Adult Sections with dedicated collections in all three of our branch libraries. Each library holds YA Fiction & Non-Fiction Books, Multi-Media Materials & Reference Materials. This stock is kept up to date and expanded on an ongoing basis. Our newest specialized collections include Manga, Anime & Graphic Novels and Coming Soon to Central Library & Ardkeen Branches will be computer Games for Wii, PS3 and XBOX.

Free Internet Access is available twice daily in Central Library and once in Ardkeen and Brown’s Road Branches.

In the Central Library, a space has been provided for you in the Young Adult area, where comfortable ‘hang out’ areas, music listening posts and a tea/coffee machine are available to make your library visits more enjoyable.

Not into books? Not a problem. We have something for everyone including DVDs, CDs and Magazines. Our DVD collection is well stocked and up-to-date (not to mention totally free) and has films, animated movies, TV series, wildlife and music selections. Music CDs include all the fairly recent releases and popular music plus soundtracks, acoustic and dance compilations. Magazines- We have over 100 titles from Astronomy to XBOX 360.
