A reference section is available in each of the Library branches. This is a public space and all are welcome to use this section. Registration is not required and there is no fee.

The reference section hosts a wide range of material covering all interests and hobbies. Find a telephone number/address or about every topic under the sun from a range of encyclopaedias, yearbooks, directories, books of quotations, dictionaries, newspapers and periodicals (e.g. Which, Consumer Choice).

The reference section also offers a quiet area for research or study or to simply browse amongst the world of information available to hand.

Library staff are available for any queries you may have.

We also offer a wealth of reference material online. This includes:

Encyclopaedia Britannica, which allows you to search for information in encyclopedias, magazines, videos and websites.

Credo Reference, which is a giant online reference library that provides customers with access to a selection of 100 reference books.

You can also access newspaper and business resources online.
