

Waterford City Council Library Service aims to provide lifelong learning and literacy resources in each of its three branches.
Each branch of Waterford City Council Library Service provides a wide range of literacy materials for learners and tutors. Also available are language learning materials, CD ROMs, reference and online resources.
Resources include -
Read Write Now:
The RTE Series published by NALA the National Adult Literacy Agency is available in all library branches. This very popular RTE series is on DVD or video and also includes a workbook. This series features real life people on their journey through learning to read, write and develop their life skills in an Irish setting.
Audio book packs:
Each audio pack includes a copy of the book and a recording of the book on cassette and/or CD. The printed text can be followed while listening to the recording.
Online Resources:
Access to the Encyclopaedia Britannica (link) and Credo Reference(link) is available in the library and from home.
Waterford City Council Library Service has a dedicated Literacy Officer and a Lifelong Learning Co-ordinator. Noeleen Ivory is the Literacy Officer and Sinéad Cummins is the Lifelong Learning Co-ordinator.
