Ardkeen Library is based on the first floor of Ardkeen Shopping Centre on the Dunmore Road, Waterford. At c. 200 sq metres, this is a small library, however, what it lacks in space is more than compensated by it’s brightness and vibrancy.

The Library won the highest award (gold) in Newly Converted Small Library category in the Chartered Institute of Library and Information Professionals Library (UK and Ireland) Building Awards in 2004.

In addition to books, magazines and newspapers, we have CDs, audio books, DVDs and videos on loan. We also hold magazines which cover a wide variety of interests and hobbies.

Optical Scanning facilities are available to assist customers with sight difficulties. For further information on this service, please contact the library.

There is also a well-equipped reference area with photocopying facilities with a number of comfortable sofas provided for those who wish to read newspapers and magazines, or for customers who simply prefer to relax and listen to music.
