The Council has appointed Estate Management Officers who are available to meet with residents and residents associations on a regular basis to deal with any issues and suggestions they have.
The Estate Management Officer acts as an effective liaison between residents and the various sections of the Housing or other departments in the City Council. There is also close liaison between the estate management officers and the Council’s Anti-Social behaviour unit.
The Estate management section deals only with City Council estates and also aims for the following :
- Establish the support of residents associations.
- Meet with residents associations on a bi-monthly basis.
- To facilitate Pre-tenancy training
- Consult and devise work programmes with residents associations.
- Offer Estate Management Grants to assist residents associations with the development of their estate.
