The Affordable Housing Scheme provides for the sale of newly constructed
houses and apartments in areas where prices have created an affordability
gap for lower income house purchasers. Properties will
be sold to eligible first time purchasers at prices significantly
less that their actual market value. Certain terms and conditions apply
to the purchase of affordable housing.
HOME CHOICE LOANS
We are delighted to announce that Home Choice Loan are available since 1st January 2009.
Applications for a Home Choice Loan must be submitted through an authorised mortgage broker. A list of authorised brokers is now available on www.homechoiceloan.ie, more brokers will be added in the coming weeks.
You can also download a copy of the new Home Choice Loan brochure from www.homechoiceloan.ie. The brochure has been designed to provide product information and a step-by-step guide for buyers wishing to apply for a Home Choice Loan.
About Home Choice Loan
Home Choice Loan is for first time buyers who can afford to service a mortgage, but who cannot currently obtain sufficient finance from a bank or building society. Home Choice Loan will provide up to 92% of the value of a property purchased, to a maximum of €285,000 depending on your income. Lending terms and conditions apply.
Home Choice Loan is available for newly built properties, including self build homes.
To qualify for a Home Choice Loan you must:
- be a first time buyer (some exceptions may apply);
- earn over €40,000 as a single applicant and over €50,000 combined income as joint applicants;
- be in permanent employment for two years; If self-employed be able to submit two years certified accounts;
- provide evidence via your broker that you have been unable to obtain sufficient finance from two mainstream banks or building societies.
