terephthalate. The symbol is found on packaging such as
plastic bottles, etc.
Uses: PET plastic can be recycled for use in new containers
for both food and non-food products, fabric for clothing, shoes,
luggage, upholstery, furniture, carpet, fiberfill for sleeping
bags and winter coats etc.
This
symbol means that the packaging is made from HDPE - high
density polyethylene. It is found on packaging such as milk
containers, juice bottles, water bottles, bleach, detergent,
and shampoo bottles, butter and margarine tubs,
household cleaner bottles etc.
Uses: HDPE can be made into drainage pipe, liquid laundry
detergent bottles, oil bottles, pens, benches, recycling containers,
floor tile, picnic tables, fencing etc.
