Policy Statement
Any application for the release of Public Sector Information that is received will be considered on the merits of that particular application. Where Public Sector Information is released by the Council the release will be subject to the terms and conditions of the most recent Public Sector Information Licence that has been issued and any other terms and conditions that Waterford City Council may deem appropriate.
Public Sector Information that appears on Waterford City Council’s website may be downloaded subject to the terms and conditions attached to the most recent Public Sector Information Licence that has been issued.
Applying for permission to use Public Sector Information
Permission to copy or use Public Sector Information which is the property of Waterford City Council and/or which appears on the Council’s website may be applied for by writing to the Council’s Freedom of Information Officer :

Any such application that is submitted must state clearly that the request is for permission to copy or use Public Sector Information.
Charges :
The following charges will apply:
- €20.95 per hour in respect of the time spent in producing, collecting and reproducing the information for re-use.
- €0.04 per photocopy.
- €10.16 for a CD-ROM
Details of the charges will be given to the applicant before the information is released.
The Council will only supply data covered by the Regulations in pre-existing format or language.
As well as data protected by intellectual property rights, the Regulations do not provide for the release of personal data or information protected under the Freedom of Information Act. The Regulations do not permit the release of information in a manner that is otherwise prohibited by law.
