Waterford City Council's Complaints Procedure

If you feel you have been badly or unfairly treated by a member of our staff or by one of our services, you have the right to make a complaint to us.

We would ask that you do this through our website, by using this form. Please include all the relevant details of your issue so we can endeavour to best resolve your complaint.

Alternatively, you may write to us, marking your letter for the attention of the relevant department.

If you feel that your have been unfairly treated by our decision making process on your complaint or are not satisfied with our decision, it is open to you to contact the Office of the Ombudsman. By law, the Ombudsman can investigate complaints about any of our administrative actions or procedures as well as any delays or inaction in your dealings with us.

The Ombudsman provides an impartial, independent and free dispute resolution service.
