Recycling

You are required to separate your household waste into the different bins. This means convenient recycling at your doorstep.

Each bin is collected on a 3-week rotation.

Look out for the symbols below on your packaging and waste. These items can be placed in the green bin.

This symbol means that the item is made from PET plastic - polyethylene terephthalate. It is found on packaging such as plastic bottles, etc.

Uses: PET plastic can be recycled for use in new containers for both food and non-food products, fabric for clothing, shoes, luggage, upholstery, furniture, carpet, fiberfill etc.

This symbol means that the packaging is made from HDPE - high density polyethylene. It is found on packaging such as milk containers, juice bottles, water bottles, bleach, detergent, and shampoo bottles, butter tubs, household cleaner bottles etc.
Uses: HDPE can be made into pipes, detergent bottles, oil bottles, pens, benches, containers, floor tile, picnic tables, fencing etc.
