Disposal of Bulky Goods

Waterford City Council operates a collection and disposal system for white and bulky goods. This service is only intended for householders who wish to dispose of individual household items.

  Items will be collected, by arrangement, from the householder at their home address by an employee of the Council. Payment can now be made over the phone by Credit card or calling into the reception on the 1st  Floor of the Menapia Building, The Mall were cash & credit card are both accepted. All White Goods (i.e. anything electrical) can be dropped off at the Recycling Centre, free of charge.

Collection charges will apply as follows :
Small household items - e.g. Microwave, Radiator  [ € 16 ]
Medium household items - e.g. Matress, Tumble Dryer  [ € 24 ]
Large household items - e.g. 3 piece suite, Wardrobe  [ € 32 ]

If a private contractor is employed to dispose of waste, you should ensure that they are in possession of a current Waste Collection Permit. It is an offence punishable in law to transfer waste to a person who does not hold such a permit.
