About Waterford City Council

The Council holds its meetings on the second Monday of the month in the Council Chamber at City Hall, The Mall, Waterford.

There are 15 elected public representatives on Waterford City Coucil, who are elected following a public vote every 5 years. The last local election was in June 2009.

Following a vote by council, one elected member is appointed Mayor of Wateford for a term of one year. The current mayor is Councillor Pat Hayes.
