The primary focus of the Information Systems department is to support efficient delivery of services to our users, both internally within Waterford City Council and outside. We work closely with the Local Government Computer Services Board ( LGCSB ) which administers and supports local authorities in the use of national systems.
We also look after the following infrastructure and services:
- LAN (Local Area Network)with approx. 400 users and 330 PCs
- Staff and member's email
- In-house databases
- Technical support of all users
- Internet and web development
- Planning Enquiries online access
- Online Payment of Fines etc.
- Register of Electors online access
