Archives News

In recent times some significant new collections have been acquired by the City Archives, including a previously unknown map of Waterford.

From the beginning it was intended that Waterford City Archives would be a true city archives rather than just a repository for city government records and that its collections would reflect all aspects of life in the city over the centuries. In the last 6 years a substantial number of institutional and private collections have been accessioned and the City Archives continues to find, record and, if possible, acquire further material.

Waterford Maternity Hospital Records

Quaker Material
This small collection of 20 items was donated to the Archives by Mrs. Edith Little, John's Hill and relate to her mother's family, the Whites.
